Neighborgoods web intro vid lighter.png

Farm fresh goods, direct to your neighborhood.

Connecting local farms and neighborhoods through convenient, walkable pickup sites.

Because most of us can’t walk to the farmer’s market.

Neighborgoods is a neighborhood-based local food pickup model designed to make fresh farm goods easier to access, and easier for farms to deliver reliably.

Residents order directly from farms, and simply walk down to a shared pickup spot in their community. Enjoy great local food without extra errands and hassle.

  • Traditional CSAs often require picking up at a farm or farmers market during a narrow window.

Neighborgoods focuses on neighborhood-based pickup sites, making it easier for people to get their food, and easier for farms to deliver reliably. The goal isn’t to replace CSAs, but to remove common friction points like missed pickups and inconvenient locations.

  • No. Neighborgoods works directly with local farms, not distributors or national supply chains. There’s no home delivery, no warehouses, and no substitutions. Just a simple pickup of fresh, seasonal farm goods close to home.

  • Yes. Everything offered through Neighborgoods is seasonal and sourced from nearby farms. What’s available will change throughout the year based on what farms are harvesting.

  • We’re currently in a pilot planning phase and speaking with farms, property managers, and neighbors to shape the program thoughtfully. Our first small pilot is planned early summer 2026.

  • We’re currently gathering interest from residents across Asheville. Neighborhoods with the strongest interest will be prioritized for our first pilot pickup sites. Fill out our survey to nominate your neighborhood to participate!

  • Very little. Pickup sites typically need:

    • a small shared indoor or covered space

    • predictable access during a set window

    • no staff involvement

NeighborGoods handles coordination, communication, and cleanup.

  • Many farms already run CSAs successfully. NeighborGoods offers an additional distribution option focused on convenience and reliability, particularly reducing missed pickups and delivery inefficiencies.

  • Local food systems work best when they’re built carefully. Starting small allows us to listen, learn, and adjust alongside farms and communities, rather than scaling before the model truly works for everyone involved.

If we’re at capacity when you contact us - fear not! We intend to learn quickly and scale with waitlisted partners and drop sites.

Proud to be an Appalachian-Grown Partner Business.
